She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Carleton University, completed specialized studies in Applied Behaviour Analysis at the University of New Brunswick, and holds a Master’s degree in Behaviour Analysis Practice from the Florida Institute of Technology.
With over 15 years of experience in the field, Samantha has a robust background in delivering behaviour analytic services across a range of settings, including residential, in-home, educational, and clinical environments. She specializes in working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Conduct Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and other developmental and behavioral exceptionalities. Samantha’s practice is guided by evidence-based interventions designed to promote meaningful outcomes and improve the quality of life for her clients and their families.
Samantha specializes in completing comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments, Assessments of Functional Living Skills, and writing Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs). She takes particular interest in working with high-risk individuals and those with severe problem behaviour, such as, but not limited to, physical aggression, property destruction, self-injurious behaviour, defiance, and elopement.
I work with my clients providing support to those diagnosed with developmental, intellectual, and learning disabilities, in conjunction with dual diagnoses including, ASD, OCD, ADHD, and emotional and neurological life challenges.
Depending on the situation and the need, I may conduct a Functional Behaviour Assessment and Functional Analyses, providing a written assessment of the behaviour and next steps for treatment. I help families and facilities by designing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans for children, youth, and adults demonstrating difficult and sometimes dangerous behaviours, providing safety plans and behavioural contracts to support my client's growth and development.
Should you resonate with me and my services, please book an initial exploratory session to determine together the best service(s) to match your current circumstances. I look forward to our journey together!
Each client may request a free initial consultation. This is not a therapy session, but rather a chance to meet and get a feel for how we can connect and work together.
During this consultation, we may discuss the fees and policies as we decide if we are a good fit to work together.
Why do we call our price list an investment instead of a cost? By definition, cost is just an expenditure of money, time, or resources while an investment is an expenditure that is sent out because it has the possibility of a return. We say investment instead of cost because you are not simply expending resources, you are investing in yourself, your health and well-being.
