Transpersonal Psychotherapy
In Psychosynthesis counselling sessions we use a transpersonal psychotherapy approach that explores and cultivates our relationship with the Higher Self, allowing for a convergence of the psychological and spiritual aspects of our Being.
Where much of western psychotherapy looks to explore the workings of the subconscious mind, Psychosynthesis also looks to the higher psychological plane, the superconscious, where our higher ethical, scientific, and spiritual values are derived.
Through exploring our relationship with the 7 levels of consciousness established by Assagioli, we begin to tap into, understand, and embrace our an inner source of wisdom, altruism, growth, and creativity. Through this connectedness we are able to reach a source of inner guidance and direction that far supersedes anything we can glean from the mechanics of the mind or the advice of others.
