Your Safety, Your Responsibility
Spending time in nature is a gift — but it also comes with responsibility. Please ensure that you are well-prepared for any outdoor activities you choose to enjoy during your stay. This means being mindful of your physical abilities, staying sober and alert, and bringing the appropriate gear for the season and terrain. While we strive to create a peaceful, welcoming space close to nature, your safety is ultimately in your hands. Knowing your limits and preparing thoughtfully are essential parts of a meaningful and safe experience.In the event of an emergency, search and rescue services may incur costs that are the responsibility of the individual involved. We recommend checking your insurance coverage if you're planning any adventurous outings. Let your time here be nourishing, respectful, and rooted in awareness. 🧘 Sound & Silence
This space was created with peace and rest in mind. While we ask all guests to keep noise to a minimum — especially in the early morning and evening — please note that the surrounding area is shared, and at times, neighbouring properties may have generators or gatherings that are outside our control.
Out of respect for others, amplified music, parties, and loud disruptions are not permitted.
We truly appreciate your understanding as we continue to hold this space as gently and mindfully as possible, keeping this space serene and restorative — for ourselves and for each other.
🐾 Pets
Dogs are welcome with prior approval. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all guests:
- Keep pets on a leash when outside the yurt.
- Supervise your dog at all times — especially around wildlife or other guests.
- Clean up after your pet — bags are not provided, so please bring your own.
For some off-leash fun, there’s a brand-new dog park just up the road at the municipal building. It’s a great spot to let your dog stretch their legs and socialize!
At this time, no other animals are permitted on the property.
🎾Local Amenities (Just a Short Walk Away!)
One of the joys of this location is its closeness to the heart of the community. A short walk brings you to the municipal building and firehouse, where you’ll find:
- Tennis courts
- A volleyball/badminton net
- A large playground perfect for kids
- A weekly farmers market every Saturday during the summer — a lovely place to pick up fresh produce, baked goods, or handmade local treats.
Enjoy the charm of small-town life while still tucked into your own peaceful retreat.

Please leave the space as you found it. You are responsible for any damage or extra cleaning required. Take your waste with you or use designated bins if provided.

Security and Regulations
💧 WATER SAFETY DURING YOUR STAY
The land here is peaceful and inviting, and while the pond may look beautiful and serene, it is not a supervised swimming area. For your safety, swimming in the pond is not recommended and is entirely at your own risk.
If you do choose to enter the water:
- Never swim alone
- Avoid swimming if you are impaired by alcohol, drugs, or medication.
- Be aware that natural bodies of water may have slippery or uneven bottoms, hidden drop-offs, and other unseen hazards.
- Let someone know your plans in advance.
- Watch out for the large snapping turtle, it's his home first!
Kayaking and Watercraft
You are welcome to use the kayaks on the pond — life jackets must be worn at all times when on the water. For those who’d like to venture further, there are two nearby boat launches that offer access to the river. If you’re heading to the river, please be aware that it carries additional risks such as:
- Strong and shifting currents
- Sudden changes in depth
- Submerged rocks, branches, and other natural obstacles
The river may appear calm, but it can quickly become dangerous, even for strong swimmers and experienced paddlers. Use caution and stay mindful of your surroundings.

🔥 FIRE SAFETY GUIDELINES
Whether you're warming up indoors or enjoying the fire pit under the stars, please take a moment to review these important safety practices.
Inside the Yurt
- A smoke detector and fire extinguisher are provided for your safety.
- A fire blanket is also available — this is especially helpful for small fires on clothing or stovetops. To use it, pull it from the container, hold it in front of you for protection, and gently place it over the flames to smother them.
- Follow the fire response instructions posted inside the yurt in case of alarm or emergency.
Fire Pit Use
- Use the designated fire pit only — never light a fire elsewhere on the property.
- Keep fires small and manageable.
- Always have water or the nearby fire extinguisher within reach.
- Never leave the fire unattended, even for a moment.
- Be mindful of wind and dry conditions. Fires may be restricted during fire bans — please respect any posted advisories.
- Fully extinguish the fire before going to bed or leaving the area. Pour water over the fire, stir the ashes, and make sure everything is cold to the touch.
- Do not burn plastics, food waste, or treated wood.
Additional Reminders
- Keep flammable items (like tents, chairs, and woodpiles) a safe distance from the fire.
- Supervise children and pets closely when the fire is burning.
- Do not throw combustible or aerosol containers into the fire—they can explode.
